Duet Daily ("we", "our", "the app") is a private daily journal for couples. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how you can control or delete it.
Your sealed answer is visible only to you until your partner has also answered that day's question — at which point it's revealed to both of you, and only both of you. Time capsules follow the same rule: content stays hidden (even from whoever wrote it) until the capsule's unlock condition is met.
Data is stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication), Google's cloud infrastructure. Access is protected by security rules that only let you and your paired partner read your shared content — we describe this as a technical fact, not a promise on top of one: the rules governing this are enforced server-side on every request.
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete my account. This immediately and permanently deletes your account, and — because a Duet is shared between exactly two people — also deletes your pair's shared content (answers, capsules, comments). Your partner is notified that the Duet has ended. This action cannot be undone.

Duet Daily is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, we'll update this page and adjust the "last updated" date above.
